About Chef Jimmy

As a child growing up in North Carolina, I always enjoyed spending time with my mom in the kitchen. I also looked forward to watching my dad cook those special Saturday breakfasts or “just us guys” meals when my mom was away.
My parents instilled in me a love for food and the joy of sharing meals together. No matter how busy we were, meal time was always special. I didn’t begin cooking myself until I was a freshman at the College of Charleston. Charleston was a great place for a variety of culinary experiences.
As I began to experiment with changing recipes and different types of food, I found my passion in cooking for family and friends. Now as a father of two with a third on the way, the role of personal chef allows me to pursue my passion and continue to spend time with my family.
I love being able to share my love of food, joy of cooking and shared meal times with others.
I am a member of the American Personal & Private Chef Association and ServSafe certified.
